BECOME AN AMBASSADOR
FOR DEPRESSION PREVENTION.
As advocates, in general, we support and spread the word on depression prevention. HAPHE's focus has been young people in Universities and Colleges. Shining a tourch light on the importance of making healthy connections. As well as young children - Buiding resilience in them HAPHE helps you arm young people with tools that will help them make healthy connections that inturn makes trauma-led and anxiety-led depression a less likely occureance.
As a mental health advocate I soon become aware of the core issues HAPHE addresses and am able to communicate them to others, so they, too, become aware or gain knowledge
You really don't need special skill but if you, like me have experienced trauma or anxiety you may feel passionate about helpinging others.
Not to worry. You can choose how much time you want to dedicate to advocacy. From as little as sharing one or two posts a week to acting as an Ally.
